Ceramic Coating Installation

Ceramic coating for your car.

Inside and out protection.

Easy vehicle maintenance.

"Where the minute details are just as important as the whole project."

- Mad Vehicle Protection

Why is ceramic coating so important for vehicle maintenance?

Well if you had the choice to upgrade to a deflecting shield for your vehicle against everything that comes with literally just driving a car, would you do it? If that meant your car always looked better than your friends, you put in half the time in keeping your car super clean, and when you go to sell it, you have created a situation where it would be laughable for the buyer to nit pick anything about your ceramic coated car. All because YOU invested in a ceramic coating and had a professional guide you down the road of easy maintenance. Good job you.

Exterior Ceramic Coatings

Paint ceramic coatings

The main reason for having a coating is going to be the self cleaning ability and extreme slickness. Vehicles with a ceramic coating will stay cleaner for longer and clean up much easier due to the non stick ability in ceramic. Debris and grime will come off with ease in the wash process instead of having to scrub or perform a deep clean every single time to get a detailed finish after each wash. This is why we require the vehicles we perform our maintenance detail to, to have a coating installed. Without it, you will be fighting an uphill battle each and every wash unless the car is barley used.

Single Layer 3-5 year Starting at $1,495

Single Layer 3-5 year + Wheel & Window Ceramic Combo Starting at $1,900 (Save 25% with Combo)

*This does not include paint correction. This is for vehicles in great shape, and the owner does not opt in for any correction*

Dual layer ceramic coatings

Multi layer ceramic coatings WILL be more effective, have better properties and last longer. With a daily driver that is exposed to the elements every day you may want that extra durability. Another benefit of dual layer coatings is that you can apply an extra hydrophobic and dirt repellent layer like GTECNIQ's EXO for your second layer to significantly enhance the self cleaning ability and give you more durability.

We will always recommend dual layer coatings if budget allows.

Dual Layer 4-6 Years Starting at $1,985

Dual Layer 4-6 Year + Wheel & Window Ceramic Combo

Starting at $2,390 (Save 25% with Combo)

*This does not include paint correction. This is for vehicles in great shape, and the owner does not opt in for any correction*

Wheel ceramic coatings

Wheels will be the most time consuming part of your exterior wash, UNLESS you get your wheels ceramic coated. In most cases you will be able to just use a non acid wheel cleaner and a thorough pressure wash to get them 100% clean.

And of course, like everything that is ceramic coated, your wheel will stay cleaner for a bit longer.

Starting at $75 per wheel | 12 Month Durability

Window ceramic coatings

This might be the most overlooked part of a vehicle when it comes to what you should coat, and we are here to say it might be more important than paint. Because safety. If you've been in the rain with windows that just smear water all over the place, you can probably understand how that is not ideal, when driving the rain already causes enough accidents.

When ceramic is applied to windows, you will not need to use your wiper blades and you will have a much easier time looking through your side windows. Makes bugs, sap, ice etc easy to remove.

Starting at $150 for all windows

(Lots of windows require hand polishing to remove water spots or stains and will be charged accordingly)

Suspension ceramic coatings

If you have exposed suspension, you probably go off road, and if you go off road you better expect some dirty suspension components when you're done. So let's make clean up a breeze.

Spray some wheel cleaner, rinse thoroughly. Done. No reaching your hands in awkward positions to get proper agitation and prevent built on grime.

(It's best to coat them before they get installed! It will be more precise and cost you less.)

PPF ceramic coatings

Protection for your protection? What, why? Self cleaning abilities. PPF is great as a physical layer of protection against scratches and dings, but does not have a lasting top coat that makes clean up easy.

PPF without a coating will require some heavy scrubbing after nearly every wash, so why make it hard on yourself? How about you let the pressure washer and the wash mitt do the heavy lifting, not your arm.

Starting at $1,250 for the full body PPF prep and coating

Plastic trim ceramic coatings

Exterior plastic trim pieces don't last under the sun. Modern manufactures just put some cheap plastics on their cars, and the best way to prevent and or restore the plastics is going to be applying a trim specific ceramic coating that is made to chemically bond to plastic, not paint.

And for faded trim we offer a trim dye with ceramic in it for an extra effective restoration.

Starting at $150

(Depends heavily on the amount of trim, access to it and condition)

Interior Ceramic Coatings

Leather ceramic coatings

Your leather seats and door panels will accumulate dirt, grime and begin to have a shiny finish (What you don't want). Continual friction with leather that has dirt in it, is THE reason for leather cracking. And that's the reality of using your car, and it will need to be deep cleaned every few months to preserve your leather.

Or you could apply a leather coating that prevents grime build up and swaps out your thorough deep cleaning for a simple wipe down to achieve the same level of preservation.

Also highly recommended for light colored interiors to prevent dye transfer from clothing. (Yes, that will happen)

$250 per row of seats | 12 month durability

(Includes seats, doors, dash and center console leather)

Alcantara / Suede ceramic coatings

Alcantara is one of the most time consuming materials to clean. When the fibers have been matted down by dirt and grime it does not look good, feel good and is not fun to deep clean. So let's significantly delay the dreaded moment of cleaning it, while also making it much easier to clean and stain resistant.

Starting at $150

(Depends heavily on the amount of Alcantara and access to it)

Upholstery / Carpet / Fabric ceramic coatings

Spills happen. Now would you rather that spill seep into your carpet and turn into a stain OR have that liquid visually bead up on top of the fabric ready to be wiped up?

Starting at $100 for carpets

Ceramic Coatings are NOT indestructible and yes you still need to maintain it.

Ceramic Coating FAQ

What is a Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coatings are mostly made up of Silicon Dioxide or SIO2 which is the main component in glass. Which is why after a ceramic coating is applied to paint it will give the car a much more wet look and add depth. Along with the main benefits of a coating like long lasting paint slickness and making cleaning your car a breeze.

FAQ image

What does a Ceramic Coating do?

The main reason for having a coating is going to be the self cleaning ability and extreme slickness. Vehicles with a ceramic coating will stay cleaner for longer and clean up much easier due to the non stick ability in ceramic. Debris and grime will come off with ease in the typical maintenance process instead of having to scrub or perform a deep clean every single time to get a detailed finish after each cleaning. This is why we require the vehicles we perform our maintenance detail to, to at least have a paint coating installed. Without it, you will be fighting an uphill battle each and every wash unless the car is barley used.

FAQ image

Can I Ceramic Coat my interior?

Yes! In fact, we highly recommend it. We want your life to be easy and we want your car to be embarrassingly cleaner than your friends, and the first step to keep your car in a detailed condition will be to keep your surfaces protected. Things like your carpet, your leather, or other interior fabrics will get used, and with use comes wear and built up dirt. Without a ceramic coating, these surfaces will get dirtier faster, and will require some heavier cleaning more frequently, with a coating it will be harder for dirt to adhere and your "deep cleaning" process consists of a simple wipe every now and then.

FAQ image

Should I Ceramic Coat my new car?

If your goal is to keep this vehicle in great condition, Yes. Constantly having a layer of protection is #1 when it comes to a vehicle in great shape, due to the fact that vehicles without any paint protection will require a deep cleaning during every wash if you want the vehicle fully clean, and vehicles with effective protection like a coating will turn out with a detailed finish after just a simple wash where you aren't fighting with removing baked on grime.

With our paint ceramic coating you're looking at 3-5 years of protection and extreme slickness, compared to another option like a paint sealant that may last 2-3 months if you're lucky.

The same benefits go for any surface that is ceramic coated, from carpet to glass.

FAQ image

Is Ceramic Coating my leather worth it?

If cracking, shiny, dirty leather is your thing then no. But the majority of folks aren't into that sort of thing and desire a longer lasting brand new leather feel and look, this is who we at MVP would recommend to get a leather ceramic coating installed on their interior.

It does not alter the look of your leather after it is cleaned, it enables you to clean your leather with a simple wipe down, prevents dye transfer from jeans and will prevent leather cracking.

FAQ image

Is Ceramic Coating worth it?

Would you rather fight an uphill battle with keeping your car in a detailed condition by paying for more details and spending longer on washes or would you rather have a car that deflects dirt, grime, and bug guts with an extremely slick and glossy surface?

Cars without effective protection, like a ceramic coating, will get dirtier faster and require extra attention after each wash to address the stuck on grime.

Just that one benefit alone is something that will save you time, money and keep your car in near brand new shape with proper maintenance. So I guess this question depends on how clean you like to keep your car.

FAQ image

Should I get multiple layers of a Ceramic Coating?

If you want the best ceramic durability and properties without compromise, yes. The benefit of most multi layer ceramic coating jobs is going to be a thicker coating that will take much more of a beating before you see any sort of degradation. And if the installer has experience with combining different coatings, this can be even more beneficial by using a more durable coating as the first layer and then topping it with a coating that has the sole purpose of increasing the self cleaning abilities, which will result in the best of both worlds.

FAQ image

How do you apply a paint Ceramic Coating?

The actual application of ceramic is the easy part. Your coating will only be as good as the prep process. That being said, after the vehicle is prepped, here are the steps:

  1. Using a brand new non soak applicator pad, apply the ceramic serum generously to your pad

  2. Apply in small sections about the size of half of your drivers door

  3. Wait for ceramic to flash (This will vary for different coatings, temperature and humidity)

  4. Wipe off the majority of the ceramic with a brand new ceramic leveling towel

  5. Flip to new side, or a new towel, and level off the coating focusing on going much past your section to ensure all was wiped off (Ceramic smears in the removal process, and if you miss a spot it's going to be a pain to remove)

  6. For extra precaution use another new plush towel to go over the section again to ensure everything is removed

  7. When waiting for the coating to cure make sure water doesn't get or dry onto the surface (Cure times can vary)

FAQ image

How long does a paint Ceramic Coating last?

Most single layer ceramic coating installs last about 1-2 years even for a coating that says it will last 5+ year. Even thought coating still might be on the car, the effective life of the coating has passed. Which means you are not going to get the best benefits of a ceramic coating like the extreme hydrophobics, and slickness.

Although through our experience with mainstream ceramic coatings we have seen that multi layer ceramic coatings effective life will be significantly extended.

The effective life of the ceramic coating we use will last 3-4 years with 1 singular layer.

FAQ image

Should I apply a Ceramic Coating to my PPF?

Absolutely. Plastic and Paint are very different. All of the elements, dirt, road grime and bugs are now making contact with your PPF and not your paint, and plastic is inherently sticky which means you are going to have a tough time removing stuck on debris without using some serious abrasion.

You didn't buy PPF to make your life harder, you bought it to make it easier. You solved one huge problem, protecting your paint, but that opened up that next problem I just outlined with a sticky exterior surface. Solve that and now you just have to maintain it. Professionals will always recommend you ceramic coat your paint protection film.

FAQ image

Can I Ceramic Coat my plastic trim?

Yes you absolutely can, and should. It's well known that auto manufactures do install cheap plastics on exterior surfaces, and that combined with sitting in the sun will lead to your trim fading. Much faster than you think. We will be the first to tell you, ceramic coating your trim once will not completely solve this issue, but it will significantly delay this process and with repetition your trim will not get to a point where it is oxidized and faded.

Ceramic coating plastic trim will also make it much more slick and easier to clean.

FAQ image

What does Ceramic Coating glass do?

Coating glass has many benefits. One being much much easier maintenance, during the wash process your initial pressure wash or mitt agitation will be 2-3x more effective with a slick surface that nothing wants to stick to. Two, improved visibility while driving. When water flies of instead of smears in the rain you are in fact a safer driver. Three, if you have ever tried using a towel on exterior glass, most of the time the towel will not want to glide across making it streaky and overall not easy to get to a detailed finish. Coat it and your glass will be so slick it don't want to stick!

FAQ image

Do you need a Paint Correction before a Ceramic Coating?

Yes. New car owners are always shocked when we show them that their vehicle is not perfect from the factory. If a new car has defects, you better bet yours does too. Of course maybe those defects are hardly noticeable, but do you want your detailer to be the type that looks over missed spots because he doesn't think you'll notice them?

Just saying, i'm sure that's not all they would be looking over...

But let's say you didn't want to pay for a correction and you're happy with how your paint looks, no it is not a requirement for the paint to be polished. As long as the paint is thoroughly decontaminated properly, it is safe to apply the ceramic coating. Just know those defects your coating over are not able to be taken out anymore unless you remove the ceramic coating.

FAQ image

Can you Ceramic Coat wheels?

Absolutely. It is effective at keeping wheels cleaner for a little longer, but it's even more effective in the way that you could get away with using a non acid wheel cleaner and a thorough pressure wash to preform a full wheel cleaning.

Make sure to use the right coating, in our experience most wheel coatings out there do not last more than about 6 months despite what companies say.

FAQ image

How do you clean a Ceramic Coated car?

If we are talking about paint coatings, the answer is very carefully. If your ceramic coating job was done professionally, your paint should not have noticeable scratches in it, and it's very easy to scratch your paint while washing it. This is why having or learning from a professional is recommended.

Here are the key steps in washing your ceramic coating safely:

  1. Use brand new or completely clean wash mitts and towels

  2. Start with the wheel cleaning. This will avoid working against yourself and prevent dirt overspray

  3. Use a pre soak foam in your foam cannon to break down dirt and debris so you can have a much more effective rinse

  4. Rinse top to bottom, focusing on pushing the dirt off the top surfaces, down the sides and off the vehicle

  5. Use CarPro reset ceramic soap in a foam cannon to add lubrication

  6. Wash in small sections

  7. Dunk wash mitt in bucket

  8. Grab a new one or scrub out your used one

  9. Repeat until all panels are washed

FAQ image

Can I apply a paint Ceramic Coating by myself?

Yes! After years of applying ceramic coatings, with the right tools we have complete confidence in anyone interested in ceramic coating their own vehicle. However, applying the ceramic coating is the easy part, and your ceramic coating will only be as good as the right preparation process. Taking the time to learn how to use a polisher, figuring out which pads and polishes will work for the job and buying the necessary polishers is the tough part.
